For dining we always recommend our own Riverside Dining Room, our sister lodge’s Walter Wilcox Dining Room, which features fantastic views of Moraine Lake, Mount Burgess Dining Room in Emerald Lake Lodge, Truffle Pigs in and the restaurant in The Post Hotel, The Fairview Dining Room in the Chateau Lake Louise.
CATHEDRAL MOUNTAIN LODGE
The newly renovated lodge is home to our signature Great Room and highly renowned restaurant bar. Our team of celebrated chefs and their passion for high quality cuisine has led us to become a multi-award winning kitchen and one of the best small restaurants in the country. Our belief in supporting local farms and small suppliers influence our menu which showcases fresh local and certified organic ingredients including fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat as well as Canada’s finest wine selection. Guests will enjoy dining in the comfort of a large stone fireplace and elegant RockyMountain interior while taking in awe-inspiring views of the glacial-fed KickingHorseRiver.
THE WALTER WILCOX DINING ROOM, MORAINE LAKE
One of the top gourmet restaurants in BanffNational Park, the Walter Wilcox Dining Room at Moraine Lake Lodge offers a unique, elegant menu showcasing the best cuisine from the region. Signature dishes include buffalo carpacchio with roasted pine nuts and deer tenderloin with red currants and juniper berries.
Wine-lovers will delight in the impressive wine cellar, including Canadian and American vintages. Graced by a large stone fireplace and an elegant RockyMountain interior, views of MoraineLake through the massive windows in the atrium provide a spectacular vista. Reservations are highly recommended, though walk-ins are welcomed when space permits. Dining Room hours are breakfast 7:00am – 10:30am and dinner 5:30pm – 9:00pm.
MOUNT BURGESS DINING ROOM, EMERALD LAKE LODGE
MountBurgess dining room is renowned for its signature Rocky Mountain Cuisine and comfortable, warm atmosphere. Experience Chef Valerie Morrison’s seasonal menu – featuring free-range elk, bison and caribou along with seafood, pasta and a sophisticated array of desserts. Whether your days at Emerald Lake Lodge are spent adventuring in the mountains or curled up beside a roaring fire, the dishes served in the dining room are designed to nourish and comfort you during what promises to be a memorable stay.

At Truffle Pigs we believe in fresh local and regional ingredients, and non-medicated meats. We believe the mealtime experience should be social and energetic, and that children have a place at the table.
